The certification test

To participate in the CLS certification exam, you must register directly with the STLE at least two weeks before your desired exam date.

Registration is done independently and conveniently through the STLE online portal.

Flexible and location-independent: Online exam with certified supervision

Since 2021, the STLE has offered the opportunity to take the CLS exam online and remotely – whether at home, in the office, or in a quiet room with a stable internet connection. Requirements for participation are:

  • Laptop or tablet with webcam and headset
  • Secure and stable internet connection
  • Quiet, undisturbed environment

The exam is conducted through the STLE platform Webassessor. There you choose your individual exam date. A certified examiner supervises the multiple-choice exam live via webcam. You will receive the result immediately after completing the exam.

Our tip: Exam date directly after the course

We recommend scheduling the CLS exam date immediately after your certification course. For your exam, we are happy to provide you with a suitable room at the OilDoc Academy. Feel free to contact us!

  • $625 USD for Non-members
