  • From sampling to the assessment of laboratory results.
  • Comprehensive presentation of the specialist area from technical application, lubricants and lubrication technology to monitoring and oil maintenance.
  • Experienced, internationally recognised and certified speakers who are at home in the world of mechanical engineering, lubricants and lubricant analysis through daily practice.
  • As a basic course for beginners, but also suitable for practitioners to update or deepen their knowledge.

Seminar goals

  • Understanding the relationship between professional lubrication in maintenance and its importance for the reliable functioning and safety of machines and systems
  • Acquisition of a broad basic knowledge of lubricants and their use
  • Familiarisation and updating of knowledge about
    • Structure, selection and usage of lubricants
    • Procurement, storage and handling
    • Lubrication methods and lubrication devices
  • Familiarisation with and application of the principles and use of lubricant monitoring in operation
    • Principles and methods of professional oil sampling
    • Familiarisation with the basic test methods for oil monitoring and their area of application
  • Familiarisation with the importance of oil cleanliness and oil care in reliable machine lubrication and their practical implementation in operation

Target Group

  • Maintenance and repair specialists who require basic knowledge of lubrication technology
  • Employees of service providers for oil maintenance, oil changes, system cleaning and lubrication support
  • Service-orientated consultants and sales staff from the mineral oil industry
  • Specialists from component and machine manufacturers with lubrication-related tasks
  • Specialists from service laboratories for oil analysis

Direct certification possible

  • The seminar provides a very good basis for internationally recognised certificate examinations such as ‘Oil Monitoring Analyst’ (OMA, Level I/STLE), ‘Machinery Lubrication Analyst’ (MLA, Level I/ICML) and ‘Machinery Lubrication Technician’ (MLT, Level I).
  • Targeted exam preparation for the “Machinery Lubrication Analyst” (MLA I) or “Machinery Lubrication Technician” (MLT I) exam
  • Possibility to take the official exam for “Machinery Lubrication Analyst(MLA I) or “Machinery Lubrication Technician” (MLT I) in accordance with ISO 18436-4 directly afterwards online.

The certification test

Participation in the officialMLA I or MLT I examination is of course voluntary.

If you wish, you can take an online test under supervision directly after the seminar on the premises of the OilDoc Academy. The organisation and implementation takes place via the ICML examity platform.
Here you will find instructions for candidates for the online test with invigilation.

Please note: If you wish to take the exam, you must register for the exam directly with the ICML at least two weeks before the exam date.

MLA I / MLT I examination fee NOT included in the seminar price – actual price may vary.
