Certified Hydraulic Oil Specialist

Hydraulic fluids transmit forces, control, lubricate, cool, protect against corrosion and ensure the removal of impurities. In their work, the all-rounders have to meet ever greater challenges, such as higher pressures, rising operating temperatures, dynamic volume flows and, at the same time, increased demands on system availability and sustainability.

Our certificate course provides you with in-depth insights into the special requirements of modern hydraulic systems in order to ensure the economical and reliable operation of your hydraulic systems in the long term.

The course’s main focuses include the thorough selection of the optimal hydraulic fluid, taking into account the specific system requirements of various applications. Concrete, typical use cases will illustrate that the minimum requirements set according to relevant DIN or ISO standards are not sufficient to operate modern systems economically and sustainably. At the same time, your speaker Rüdiger Krethe will show you which parameters are of particular importance when selecting oil, laying the foundation for reliable plant operation. Also, the reliable adjustment of oil change intervals, early detection of wear and malfunctions, clarification of causes of damage, the benefits of oil analysis, and an optimized oil care based on it for proactive maintenance are at the center of attention.

Target Group

  • Skilled employees and executives working in the field of maintenance
  • Engineers, foremen, fitters and service technicians from component and system manufacturers and their service partners
  • Sales engineers and sales people of lubricant proucers und their resellers
  • Technical purchasers for lubricants and operating fluids
  • Application engineers working in mobile labs as well as for on-site condition monitoring and fluid management
  • Appraisors and surveyors for damage analysis and machine malfunction
  • Technically interested employees who want to extend their knowledge in the areas lubrication techniques and tribology

Aims

  • Recognising the specific requirements of modern hydraulic systems in certain areas of application
  • In-depth understanding of specific oil parameters and the interpretation of technical data sheets
  • In-depth understanding of specific oil parameters and the interpretation of technical data sheets
  • Extension of oil changing intervals
  • Cost reduction through better filtration and oil care
  • Professional concept for oil condition monitoring incl. the selection of the scope of analyses and the evaluation of analysis results
  • Investigation of causes of faliure after breakdowns

Certificate examination

On the afternoon of the final day, you can take an official certification exam.
On successful completion of the online multiple choice exam, you will receive a high quality certificate and be entitled to use the official ‘Certified Hydraulic Oil Specialist’ logo.

  • 100 exam questions (multiple choice)
  • The examination is deemed to have been passed if at least 70% of the questions have been answered correctly
Certificate course (2 days)
