Since 2012, OilDoc has also been offering certificate courses specifically designed to prepare for the internationally recognized certifications as a Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS) and as a Machinery Lubrication Analyst (MLA II).

Managing Director, Dipl.-Ing. Rüdiger Krethe worked in product management for industrial oils after studying mechanical engineering and tribotechnology. He then headed the OELCHECK diagnostics team for 15 years. For more than 25 years, Rüdiger Krethe has been passing on his expertise in tribology, lubricants and oil analyses in seminars as an IHK-certified trainer. He is a ‘Certified Lubrication Specialist’ (CLS) of the STLE and a ‘Machine Lubricant Analyst II’ (MLA II) of the ICML.

Rüdiger Krethe is a BDSH-certified expert for lubricants and lubricant monitoring – making him the only expert for lubricants and lubricant monitoring in the German-speaking region.

OilDoc GmbH was established as a spin-off of OELCHECK GmbH.

OELCHECK – the leading laboratory for lubricant and fuel analysis in Europe.

The company is based in Brannenburg in Upper Bavaria (Germany). The company was founded in 1991 by Barbara and Peter Weismann under the name WEARCHECK – renamed OELCHECK in 2009. OELCHECK is 100% family-owned and therefore completely independent.

With a lubricant, operating fluid or coolant analysis from OELCHECK, the maintenance and change intervals can be adapted to the actual condition of the machines and oil fillings. In addition to lubricating greases, coolants and fuels, OELCHECK can also analyze lubricants from gearboxes, engines, hydraulics, transformers, turbines, compressors, heat transfer systems and chillers. Each analysis is tailored precisely to the component to be examined. The aim is to extend the service life of the lubricant and the service life of the machines.

OilDoc Conference & Exhibition

Since February 2011, the company has been offering the OilDoc conference every two years, the trend-setting platform for all aspects of lubrication, maintenance and tribology.

The next OilDoc conference will take place from 13-15 May 2025.
