Gas engines are a fixed part of our energy supply system. The oils in use for lubrication are exposed to permanent operation. At the same time the as fuel used gas is more often much more contaminant-laden than for example classical fuels like diesel and petrol. Furthermore, the qulity of the gas can vary a lot. Without continous oil or lubricant analysis a reliable and economic lubrication is almost not possible.

But then, the interpretation of analysis lab report results is a big challenge for many people. Very often, the quintessence of these results gets lost, due to the numerous provided values and the application of blind statistical limit values.
